The history of Sedbergh Golf Club dates back to 1896, but golf was actually played in the area even earlier. Golfers of the past enjoyed the game on the common land known as 'The Riggs'. In 1991, the club relocated to Catholes-Abbot Holme, where a professionally designed 9-hole layout was created. This new course takes advantage of the natural undulations of the parkland, providing a scenic and challenging experience. Accuracy is key on our tree-lined fairways, where the River Dee and River Rawthey come into play. Well-guarded greens, built to USGA specifications, and numerous water features add an extra level of excitement to your game.
