Founded in 1977 by Lord and Lady Moyola, the club was opened by none other than the legendary Seve Ballesteros. The course is a golf designer's dream, set in the beautiful wooded parkland of Shanemullagh, spanning 130 acres of a Georgian House estate. Renowned Ulster golfer Don Patterson and Landscape Architect Alan Smith collaborated to create the present course, skilfully blending the layout with the scenic rural surroundings.
