West Byfleet Golf Club

Discover the timeless allure of West Byfleet Golf Club, a traditional members club nestled in the picturesque landscape of Sheerwater Road, West Byfleet. Steeped in a rich history that dates back to 1922, the club's roots trace back to the acquisition of the original Bleakdown Golf Club by its members. Designed by the esteemed Cuthbert Butchart in 1906 and later reimagined by the renowned John Abercromby in 1922, the West Byfleet course showcases the legacy of legendary architects, ensuring a golfing experience like no other.

Boasting 18 glorious parkland holes, West Byfleet's course measures 6,531 yards from the men's purple competition tees, with a par of 70. Challenging players with eight par four holes exceeding 400 yards each, it stands as a true test of skill, where breaking par is a rare and rewarding feat. For the ladies, the course measures 5,647 yards from the red tees, presenting a par 72 challenge.

One of the course's standout features is the iconic 13th Pond hole, a deceptive short par 3 that has left many players in awe. With full course irrigation in place since 2011, members and visitors can delight in excellent playing conditions year-round. Even during wetter months, the course remains open thanks to its unique location on a substantial "Bagshot sand" seam, ensuring quick drainage.

Not only renowned for its golfing excellence, West Byfleet Golf Club provides a warm and welcoming social environment, reflecting a strong friendly family tradition. Visitors and societies are graciously welcomed during the week, and the club prides itself on creating unforgettable experiences for all guests. The professional staff, led by the experienced Jon Field, are dedicated to offering quality service and assistance, ensuring that every moment at West Byfleet is memorable.
